About
Intro
What do you know about OCD?
Like many other things, if you haven’t directly experienced obsessive compulsive disorder, you probably learned about it through outside sources. Books, TV, movies, songs, poetry, all of these are ways that we learn about and understand the world around us. But in the case of OCD, the representation of it does not always align with the reality of being a person with OCD. This project aims to break down the way that OCD is presented in the media and how it does and does not align with lived experiences of the disorder.
Research
Data and Vizualizations
Looking for a place to start? The site’s data and visualization site goes through the creation process and shows the data we gathered in the form of a searchable table, as well as Tableau visualizations.

Index and Bibliography
Confused about a term in the section above, curious about a work in the data table, or just generally interested in learning more? Our index covers all the terms used in the table while providing supplemental sources for further research, and the bibliography covers all works in the table as well as any secondary sources that assisted in the creation of this project overall.

So, What Now?
This section is focused on what can be done with the information within the data. Correlations, analysis of patterns, and looking at what it means to be good representation are all covered on the analysis page. The future research page is meant to cover blind spots in this project that will hopefully be addressed by future research, either on this website or elsewhere.
